Description |
The vihara is situated in a large extent of land and at the entrance is the avasage. The avasage is endowed with the traditional patterns of Kandyan era with trellis, carved rafters and the inner court yard which were completely conserved recently. In front of it at the ground level, there is the poyage. The central cella is surrounded with a verandah and 12 wooden pillars. The door way is well carved. It is able to climb to the top of the hill by the way with stairs. The summit of the hill is a plain. There is a stupa which is re-constructed recently. A small asana is added a later to the small bubble shaped stupa which is consisted with the basic features of Kandyen era. A stupa and a bodhi are established at the beginning of building vihara. |
